Wauw….we came across this restaurant by accident. During our family vacation to Japan we stayed in the Moxy hotel in Tokyo near Kinshicho station. Moxy is a Marriott chain created for Millennials, a great option by the way! So walking in the area we stumbled on to this amazing restaurant run by young people with a passion for great meat. Japan can be very expensive for fine meats, but this place is probably the best option for affordable high quality Kobe or Wagyu A3-A5 grade. English is not an option and you will not see many tourists in this place. So be prepared to use images and translation apps as the menu is only in traditional Japanese. Reservations are best, so maybe let the hotel or a Japanese speaker make the booking. The venue is tiny and super sleek modern Japanese with lots of wood. Very cosy though. They also have an excellent wine list with some amazing good value options. Wines you would easily pay double in established restaurants in Tokyo.

We ordered the truffle oil infused oysters via pictures we found on Google maps and with a translator app. An amazing starter, tempura style fried with a teriyaki style sauce. Further we had the Kobe Nigiri Sushis again delicious! The absolute stars are the chateau briand steak which comes with just some wasabi, salt and mustard. The meat is so tasty it doesn’t need anything else to be honest. Maybe the best peace of meat I had in my life! Lastly, the steak sandwiches, they are just the cherry on the cake. Desserts are good, but typical Japanese bitter sweet. I WILL be back!!!
